Luvachicken
You can hang old tea bags up with either WD40 sprayed on or Olbas oil - just make sure the chickens don't eat the tea bags Cats hate the smell of both.
libby22
Garlic would be a good one too.
Patricia W
I'm amazed he braves your chickens - our cat, and all the local moggies, gaze fearfully at a distance!
sage
Well today the cat returned to the nesting box. The poop has been returned to the owner. Lets see how they like it in their garden
Janet G
I'm astonished too, my cat only goes near the run after dark when she's sussed they're not around. However cats always go back to where they've "been" before, drawn by smell. So clean out the nest box with a bio washing powder or liquid, then use something strongly smelling of citrus which they intensely dislike, maybe the zest of lemon or orange skins. I wouldn't try olbas oil, we had a cat who used to go mad for it. Other than that an actual physical barrier until it finds somewhere else. Maybe it hasn't got a nice dry litter tray at home so is seeking out somewhere dry to go given the cold wet weather, so perhaps a word with the owner.
