One of my lovely ex bats has just laid a beautiful tiny wind egg. I know it's nothing to worry about. Does it mean she's going off lay or coming into lay. It's just one of the 4 has never laid, I don't mind, but it would be lovely if she did start

I've had wind eggs from a couple of my girls before. Just a blip in my experience and doesn't foretell anything much!

Wow that's really strange, I have never heard of a 'wind egg' before but funny enough one of my girls laid a teeny tiny egg yesterday, perfectly formed and the yolk and white was perfect, just tiny......you learn something new everyday on this forum

YES...my girls have finally made it on to the omlet gallery....the two proud girls who jumped up at my window waiting for a treat....

Nothing to worry about. I've only had the one and weirdly mine had no yolk!

Sometimes a speck of something finds its way in to the hens system (like a tiny bit of grit or tissue) and the system wraps it in an egg in the same way it would a yolk (you usually cant see what it is when you crack the egg)
