Nearly got morehens disease today

Recommended Posts

but luckily my friend sorted me.

We went to buy her some chickens today to join her two. She recently lost her favorelle, so wanted either two of them, as they seem to like company of other favorelles or two other hybrids of some description.

She had decided on two favorelles, when we spotted a huge pen of mixed chickens and there was the most gorgeous Amber Star. She came trotting over, head on one side, and she reminded me so much of my lovely much missed Marigold, but white instead of black.

I had been told no more chickens, four is enough at present and they are all getting on. Plus Ivy our ex-batt is an old girl she doesn't need stress. But I couldn't have left this one. Luckily my friend after buying her favorelles said "I suppose they could have a big friend to look after them couldn't they":dance::dance:

So back we went and even amongst all the others we spotted her immediately, 'we probably won't be able to spot her.......oh yes there she is" she really is a special girl.

I look forward to seeing her grow up

Four was enough .."There is only the two of us so how many eggs do you need? " Then my chicken friend had a chalkhill blue that was being bullied ,no feathers on her neck or head and a slightly bloody comb and she did not get on with her bantoms. .

5 weeks ago I was down her place and she did not know what to do .She said "You can have her if you want I know you have always loved her and I know she will be cared for  " 5 weeks later she is in with my girls ,feathers almost back ,lovely head feathers and I love her to bits..So if you have morehens and know that you shouldn't really just find a chicken friend who has a chicken that needs a bit of TLC and drop a hit or two. :D:lol:
