patsylabrador
Over the years I've noticed that my chickens have quite an aversion to hi-viz and neon. They really hate it. So we have bought a couple of neon rock-pooling nets and these are brilliant. If we want them to go back in their run, sometimes it's enough to just pick one up and they troop away. If they're digging up seedlings I just lay one down on the bed and they keep away. This morning Persephone started crowing so I put the net on her favourite perch and she went very quiet. I don't know what they think the bright colour will do but it makes them very biddable.
Luvachicken
Silly girls. A big neon monster no doubt. Does it work on cats..........I wonder if I should get something like that for the ones that come in my garden ?
Beantree
Ours went crazy earlier last week when I appeared with a big white 'snake' and laid it out around the enclosure between the runs. It was an extension lead! Perhaps I should have bought a black one?
The Dogmother
Ours went crazy earlier last week when I appeared with a big white 'snake' and laid it out around the enclosure between the runs. It was an extension lead! Perhaps I should have bought a black one? I've always been aware of that urban myth of them hating anything snake-like, but mine have never been bothered by hoses or cables.
