Anyone do Online Surveys for money!?

Recommended Posts

We are registered for Shopper Thoughts which is basically market research for Tesco and we earn points for each survey we complete.

However, have just seen an ad for a site called Valued Opinions which claims to allow you to earn vouchers for money off in high street stores by completing online market research. Apparently privacy is guarenteed and e mail details never passed on.

Money is tight here and I am tempted to register but wonder if anyone on the Forum does this and if its really worth it  Feedback, anyone 8) Thanks!

I do those surveys and so far (about a year) had around £40 in Sainsburys vouchers but the surveys are hideously dull and many times you get 10 minutes into a survey before it decides you are not suitable which is very annoying.

On the whole I don't think they are worth my time but other people may not be as impatient as me

yes - I do valued opinions

It takes awhile for the cash to mount up and they've recently added a charge to claim your vouchers, which is very annoying as you lose another £1.50 for each claim.

There's also the annoyance factor of half-completing surveys before they decide you don't qualify for them.

But I did save up enough vouchers to almost pay for a posh new mobile phone last year and this year I've bought a new posh sonicare toothbrush, so it's probably worth it

I did try, but thought it just wasn't worth it to be honest.

I am sure they also send you through the survey then after a loooong while say you are not suitable, but still use your results, to save themselves from paying out

I do mystery shopping & mystery dining now, which is more fun & you get a free meal out :D

I'm registered to do surveys for nectar points - get LOADS of invites (usually at least one a day), but I think I can count on the fingers of one hand the number of surveys I've been "eligible" for - often spent ten minutes filling out questions only then to be told I'm not eligible. As Cinnamon says, by the time you get to that point, I reckon they've already got the info they wanted.

I do still do them, but only if I'm at a loose end (or struggling to sleep!) I don't go out of my way to participate anymore.
