mollyripkim
I have a little White pekin who is well in every other way but often has a yellow waxy discharge from one of her ears. At the beginning of the summer the vet thought it might be ear mites and gave me frontline spray and it did seem to clear but often comes and goes. I treated her with frontline last Friday in case it is mites but it's made no difference. Ive trimmed the feathers and bathed it. Have a vet appointment for Friday although vet did say it might just be the way she is, said it wasn't infected last time. So just wondered if anyone else has experienced this and what was the outcome.
Beantree
I have to say I've never experienced that Mollyripkim. But based on what the vet says it is perhaps the same mechanism that makes some humans prone to excessive ear wax. Presumably the Pekin has no problems with balance? Is she in a particularly windy location?
mollyripkim
Thanks Beantree, no problems with balance and in a sheltered run. It just seems to come and go with no obvious cause.
