KateH
I was wondering how those who have a purple eglu go are finding them? I've seen some on display and for sale that appear to have faded quite badly. I really like the colour but if they fade quickly maybe I should get the green? Princess Leia
I think all coloured plastics will fade to some extent when outdoors, it's down to the UV in sunlight. We have a green Go and, although the house hasn't changed much (or if it has, it's faded evenly), the inside of the glug has faded a lot compared to the outside. I would expect that the deeper colours would fade the most. Edited March 28, 2015 by Guest
Cat tails
I've had my Go for about 11 months right now and haven't noticed any fading on the house. The Glug and Grub have faded a lot though. Outside is now more blueish purple than the pinkish purple of the Go.
The Dogmother
I have an early mkII classic in orange, which has faded very slightly; it is at least 10 years old. I briefly had a pink Rablu (ghastly colour, but it was cheap) that faded very badly. A friend has an early mkII classic in blue; that has faded very badly as well. I have a purple cube, about 6 years old, which hasn't faded at all. The Go! is made of a different compound, so may react differently from the original range. Personally, I would get a Classic over a Go! any time.
mimi5
I have a lovely green cube, which I bought new and it is now over 3 years old, still lovely, no fading I also have a second/ third hand to me classic in purple - age unknown, but I've had it 18 months. Also, not faded But I do wonder if location may be a factor?? As in sunshine???? Both of mine are in the shaded end of my garden. I love them both They are fab, very robust and easy to clean I looked at the "Go", but didn't think it look as sturdy as the classic, so opted for the auction site route, rather new
