Chickabee
One of my exbats did this. She now shares with the other exbat and 2 bantams. She doesn't eat their eggs.
gavclojak
One of my old ex commercial girls doesn't lay very often but when she does she eats it. I think it started asthey are old girls and the shell quality is poor, when they do the tap test(all hens do) and its soft maybe it wouldn't be a viable egg they eat it and it becomes a habit. She doesn't eat anyone else's and I think the only thing you could try is bumpa bits but I'm not sure that would work. I have heard that some people cull the offending hen....not me, she can have it if she wants it that badly

clucker1
I have one doing this. I supplement their diet with natural yogurt and a splodge of cod liver oil and that works. The cod liver oil aids absorption of the calcium. When I forget to give it, she's back to eating her eggs.
