mollyripkim
Despite having two cubes, all 17 bantams now squeeze into one and little Joy sleeps on her own in the other. She is not bottom of the flock (but ultra human friendly) and no mites etc in the second cube. Do you think I should move her in with the others each night or let her do her own thing? Thinking it's not too bad now but wouldn't be good in the winter.
gavclojak
I think I would be inclined to let her do her own thing, when the weather starts to cool down you will probably find she seeks out the others for warmth. If you are bothered about cleaning/maintaining both cubes then I would shut it off and give her no choice.
Purplemaniacs
I think I would leave her to it. I have had single chooks in eglus rather than cubes as I only have one cube. They seem to be quite happy and don't appear to mind the cold. Chrissie
mollyripkim
Thankyou, that has made me feel better. Sometimes I just start to question myself!
Chickabee
I think you should let sleeping chickens lye (sorry that was a dreadful pun, just needed cheering up)
