Purplemaniacs
The B team have arrived. Our first group of ex batts were the A team Annie, Agatha and Agnes. Today we have collected Betty, Beryl and Bertha from the Northants rehoming. ] I hope the picture works, not very good at this . Purplemaniacs
What a raggle taggle little gang. I'm looking forward to seeing them settle in They are a bit aren't they. I was quite surprised and a bit shocked as I had expected they would be in a better condition now they are technically not ex batts but ex commercial hens (I think that is the term). Getting them to bed was difficult last night they seemed to be looking for somewhere high. The torch trick didn't work. After making lots of racket they huddled in the corner of the WIR. I had to pick them up and put them in the eglu. Tonight they have taken themselves to bed. Clever girls. Chrissie

Chrissie I have to say it really is hit and miss, when we do rehomings ( BHWT) occasionally they come out in amazing condition, my newest lot were actually in very good condition but my last lot(oct14) were the worst I have ever seen. All were ex colony girls and the condition changes even from the same farms
