Will they lay after moult?

Recommended Posts

I feel like I should know the answer to this and I can't remember what hapenned last year, but will my 3 yr old Wyandotte bantam lay again after her feathers grow back (she's currently moulting), or will this be it now until next year?

When in lay (which was from 31st Jan this year) she lays approx 5 days out of 7 (unlike my othe Wyandotte who lays about twice a week each time making a massive fuss he day before and has now stopped altogether for no apparent reason  ).

The pekins are still going giving me about 6 eggs a week between the two of them even though Bernie is losing her big wing feathers :D

Oh nooo!

I will need to start buying eggs soon!

Cinnamon, Ginger and Nutmeg are moulting (feathers everywhere!). Well I'm actually not sure about Ginger. I think she is not cut out for the egg laying business... Softies, a lot of fuss and properly tiny eggs.

Had very few eggs last few weeks and haven't had any for over a week. Hope they will get their act together and start making eggs again!
