I struggle to keep my house looking even slightly clean with 3 cats, a lovely OH and 2 sons (one in uni) and a teen who doesnt know what a door mat is for. But today popped to supermarket and was met as I came thro front door by OH carrying out a load of garden rubbish thro house Ok you say whats the big deal? Well the big deal is many a time I have encountered a snail and a worm on the kitchen floor. which have fallen out the bag of rubbish. Snails I can cope with they have a hard shell and I can chuck them out. Anything snake like (ok a worm is small) gives me the screaming ab dabs. Yes I am a wuss but when I was young someone put a caterpillar down my neck and so I am mentally scarred. Outside - no problem but in my house - no can do. He did look shifty I must admit and I wonder what goes on when I am at work. Now looking at CCTV cameras to catch him up to no good. (am joking)

Ahaaaaaaaaaaaaa! Hope you make him clear up all little slimy trails - such a pain to clear up! On the other hand, put the snails in a box, feed them on lettuce for a few days and then give them to him for his dinner with garlic butter. That may sort out his little trips through the house!

That reminds me of one of the first times we went out and left the kids home alone.

It was daytime, I think we just went to the supermarket and I do remember it was a wet, windy, muddy time of year. (The beginning of June probably!!!)

As we drove up the street towards our house we could see big masses of bubbles wafting over the roof and down to the street.

Something had gone crazy and apparently the kitchen floor got muddy so MS who was quite young decided to mop the floor. He hadn't perfected his technique and used loads and loads of Fairy Liquid and all the bubbles delighted the other kids and I don't really know what happened but it was messy.

I wasn't cross because they were so funny trying to look good and pointing out how they had mopped the floor.

I had to clean the floor!
