Good luck to all those going through this today, and I hope you are happy with your results. My yd is collecting hers, and after an awful few years, I just hope its what she needs to get into 6th form college and on with her life. She deserves it

Collected friends daughters as they are away and an aunt will ring them with the result. Lots of teens shrieking and screaming - no tears seen.

A mixed bag or results, unsurprisingly given her last year or so at school and other issues. She has 5 GCSE passes, but sadly didn't get her maths so will be a retake if a remark doesn't adjust it upwards. If she has to retake, then she won't be able to do computer science as its in the same subject block

Could she possibly do the maths outside college as an evening class or similar, so she could still take the subjects she wanted to?

I not sure, I hadn't even thought about that. She has enrolled today. At the beginning she thought she was going to be able to do onky one of her chosen subjects, and was a bit upset, but just as we were about to leave one of the tutors came outside and asked us to wait. We then had another chat and she must have made a really good impression on the computer chap in previous visits, as she is being allowed to take it, even though she doesn't have her maths c. She'll be doing yr13 first and then yr12, but as the exam is at the end of the course anyway now it doesn't make any difference what the order is. She will just be working on her own stuff and not the same as the rest of the class. She is gutted she can't do physics though. We shall see if any remarks are worth it, or if the letter from her dr has already been taken into consideration.

Hope you get it sorted out. Difficult enough without other than things thrown in. YS got a B in first part of science. They do it differently these days. He won't have to retake. With his OCD and anxiety we are happy with that.
