Grandmashazzie
Oh no, Ursula that's such bad luck. Are you on antiviral again? I took probiotics after I had mine and lady said I should have taken them at the same time.Did the Doc think it was because you are rundown that you got second bout? It must be pretty uncomfortable around the eye. Sending get well quick vibes from rainy Ireland. Hope you can get plenty of rest as that seems to be key to recovery, but is easier said than done. Luvachicken
So sorry to hear that you are poorly again. I can't begin to know how you are feeling as I've only ever had chicken pox - I think they are related somehow. Sending you lots of get well wishes xxx
Ursula123
Thank you all for your well wishes. I am now on a strong dose of anti virals, I have been taking multi vitamins daily for months so I am hoping these will help. I am also resigned to the fact that rest is key and I will need to slow down, OH has put me on sofa rest. I am under instruction that if my eye ball starts to tingle or hurt I have to go to A&E straight away, she was worried as I have a blister on my eyelid and it is very swollen, apparently it can cause sight damage. The doctor thinks I may have it again due to the fact I had a nasty cold recently which turned to a chest infection and maybe was run down from that. Grandmashazzie
Ursula you could goggle antivirals and probiotics. My local health shop lady said in some European countries doctors automatically prescribe them with antibiotics and antivirals. As they knock out your gut health and that's where 70 per cent of your immune system is. I felt much better after a course ofprobiotics. Ursula123
Sorry Grandmashazzie I meant to say I take a probiotic daily as well as a vitamin, started taking the probiotic after a tummy bug in Egypt, OH finds it helps with his chrohns and his flare ups have reduced.
