ubereglu
Yesterday I went up to the local garden centre for the seed swap they were having...I then came back with lots of seeds, see the list: Calendulas Basil Sweetcorn-F1 Tuxedo Purple Sprouting broccoli Broccoli-F1 Claret Sweet pea-Fragrantissima and Floral Tribute Mixed Runner Beans-Wisley Magic Pea-Oregon Sugar pod Let me know whether you've grown any of these and how they've done and any possible tips. craftyhunnypie
Sweet peas are really easy to grow. I started mine off in the greenhouse in spring in pots / seed trays & under clingfilm - wiping the condensation off each day ( keep moist). When germinated and big enough I pricked out & transplanted into the garden around a tripod & trellis thing. They like to creep up & cling to something. They smell absolutely gorgeous! Janty
My husband grows basil in the polytunnel but we have also grown it in tubs in the conservatory. It needs lots of light and warmth. Hubby says keep it watered but not too wet. Apparently it wilts quickly. I'm not much help.....I just enjoy eating it.
