theherd123
Over the last few weeks i have been collecting 'goodies' from the woods just across from our home where we walk the bears and they will be made into potpourri for Christmas. I was just wondering how you get the scent to stay with the ingredients? I have read that ottis root (?) can be used but not too sure how this works - can anyone help? Snowy
Sounds good Emma! It's Orris root. I made some years ago and used orris root. Didn't work Probably something I did wrong though.
Christian
What 'goodies' have you been picking Em? I have seen lots of rosehips in the hedgerows, are they are good for Pot Pourri? See you Friday!
theherd123
I have gathered some very small pine cones and some beech tree seed shells up to now Christian but im keeping my eye out for other stuff too I will dry some oranges and chilli pods nearer the time and try my hand at pot pourri. Will get cinnamon sticks to for a real Christmas smell. Looking forward to seeing you too! Anything planned yet?
