soapdragon
Following on from my post about the Specsavers ad with the shortsighted museum night watchman turning off the lights which still makes OH cross his legs....has anyone seen the new Heinz tomato ketchup one with the sausage dogs? OH and I found it hilarious but mother, who is vegan, got very upset about it! Either way, I think its very clever! I love ads that are thought provoking and well observed (think Aldi and the gin soaked old lady!)
AndyRoo
I'll admit I'm not vegan, only vegetarian - but it didn't offend me in any way. I can't remember the last time I saw an advert that actually made me laugh or want to buy something, but I can tell you that I could happily kill everyone involved in the Go Compare adverts. They make me want to bore a power drill straight into my brain!
soapdragon
I agree re; Go Compare! I love the Dairylea one with the two knights on horseback who turn out to be two lads out on their bikes lost in their own world of imagination; very sweet and clever. Won't make me buy Dairylea though The jury is out on the Captain Obvious ads....I did smile when Howard from the Halifax ad turned up and was told 'wrong ad, Howard'! mullethunter
I love the Heinz sausage dog one!
Olly
don't watch much TV and I haven't seen the sausage dog one - but I absolutely love the Haribo ads, where they have adults dubbed with children's voices. And yes, the Aldi Gin one is one of my favourites!
mullethunter
Oh Olly I can't stand them! They make me want to rip my ears off
soapdragon
I'm with Olly I'm afraid, MH! Possibly far too many years working with young children I have to say, though, that no advert I've ever seen has actually made me go and buy the product so, in that respect, I'm a failure!
