Helly Welly
teach the chooks to use the new glug? They just completely ignore it and i'm fed up with the old glugs filling up with bark. I was thinking of smearing something on the nipples, oo-er, to try and attract them to it but couldn't think of anything to use. How have others managed with the new glug? By the way, when we were bulding the cube we discovered that no holes had been drilled in the ladder and there were supposed to be holes with screw bits in at the back of the base plate for the sides to attach to but these were also missing. Luckily OH is pretty handy at DIY but i expected better for the amount we paid to be honest. First time i've ever felt a bit let down by Omlet. STill, all sorted now. Please help me with the glug though

Helen&Lee
We had James deliver our cube - he told us that the way to get them to start using it was to actually hold them and direct their beak to the nipple so the water dropped down. We haven't tried this yet - about 4 of them use it every now and again. Helen
Rabbieboy
My Omlet girls took to it sraight away without being shown and the two younger ones must have copied them as they have used it from the first day they arrived.
foreveryoung
i took all the other water away and help my nail under it so the water just ran out! thay saw it as they drunk from the little puddle it made!! once one did it they all follow! sunny seems to have it down to a fine art now! she opens her beak and holds it there till shes got what she wants! KeymerKim
My girls took to it straight away, but they now seem to prefer drinking from a terracotta saucer that I put down for them. I still have the glug in the run so they have water in the mornings before I let them out, but always make sure their saucer is filled. I have to say I don't find the glug a good design. It's a bit better now I'm hanging it above the door - easier to bring out - but you still need muscles of steel. xx
Cinnamon
We got our superglug a week or so ago,& I left them to it - they seem to have it sussed now. Maybe you should just take the old Glug out & let them work it out for themselves?
