AndyRoo
Hello all, Have anyone else's hens suddenly started moulting? Mind seem to have chosen a very late part of the year to start. One of our girls is almost bald at the moment! Is there anything I can do for them, other than poultry tonic? Thanks, Andy
Lewis
It's about that time of year, just as the weather changes! As long as they're on a decent quality feed they'll get through it fine but you can give them a helping hand with a tonic or dried mealworms for a protein boost. AndyRoo
Mine always seem to moult much later in the season than I would expect them to.

They've been a bit better this year. Last year two of them decided to moult just as it started snowing, and then instead of moulting in spring, the rest decided to moult during the heatwave - maybe they just wanted to cool off? lol
