i'm thinking about buying it but wasn't sure how good it was

 

there is also a series of books called how to draw manga computones that comes with free cds. if anyone has that could you tell me whether the software is any good

Its a bit pricey for what it is, I would get photoshop (or you could just HAND draw it)

You could try The Gimp its free open source similar to Photoshop and runs on windows as well as Linux.

 

I've had a play with it and it's rather good.
