Kathy C
Moet, the super hen, has laid an egg every day since 12th June. She does not even seem to be expecting a rest day. Chandon rests one day a week, and Peri sems to think she deserves a day off after producing for two days......
Egluntyne
Could be. She's a hard worker.
Ain't Nobody Here
You're so lucky - since 9th Sept I've had 10 eggs from one hen and zero nada niente from the other two . Hubby is making disgruntled noises - "so much for never having to buy an egg again".
Kathy C
I mention the words "chicken soup" to Peri, with a wink, every so often. That does the trick
bronze
You're very lucky I have 7 of laying age and get maybe 2 eggs a week. My dh is not impressed either
nicki9
definitely very lucky - we're spoilt too, ours both lay every day without fail. However OH now expects the same from any further chickens we get.
Carol U
Can't quite match your record, but my two have each laid an egg a day since they started at end June and beginning July respectively. Don't know if they're planning to stop for the winter though. Presumably they need some time off!

I let them free range for an hour a day, then spend another hour raking the dirt back on the border but purely for the amusement factor they are well worth it, even if old OH thinks im crazy

redfrock
8 chooks and 8 eggs a day - if we get 7 it is a rarity! Poor girls, to be honest I would rather they rested a bit more, I don't like the thought of the strain it is putting on them to be working so hard
