nicki9
They do do these poos occasionally, about one in every ten I think. At times their poo will vary, mine were both like this until they began to lay. I'm sure it's nothing to worry about.
Richard
my two hens hilda and betty are dropping brown poos yet they are so healthy there vent is clean and they have beady eyes although we did just get them today and they might be nervous don't worry - you'll get all sorts of poos. One in a dozen or so is runny, and they get all sorts of funny coloured ones sometimes. Let them settle in and settle down and things will calm down. But poos vary anyway so don't worry about it too much. If we moved you, upskittled your routine, fed you different things at different times to what ou are used to, keep you under scrutiny etc. etc. I bet your guts might get a bit uppty - you might do some funny poos! You're not French are you - they seem obsessed with examining poos. And German toilets have a shelf for them to land on so that you can get a good look at them before they get flushed away But its really good that you are keeping a close eye on your girls - its important to get used to your chickens routines and habits etc. so that you know when things change because thats when you should worry. You'll be a great chicken keeper!

Last time we were in Austria, our maid had left us a nice present in our toilet on that little shelf! I never liked the flushers either in Austria & Germany, because I often pulled the k"Ooops, word censored!" off them! Emma.x

Bondinho
Hi all, Sorry to hijack the post! My bluebelle is doing runny yellow poos all the time, I'm assuming that isn't normal? Any ideas on what might be causing it?
Egluntyne
How old is she? How long have you had her? How long has she been doing these strange poos for? Is she eating and drinking normally and bobbing about?
Bondinho
I've only had her for just under 2 weeks (about 18 weeks old) and she has been doing the poos pretty much since she arrived. She seems to be eating and drinking fine - although she is bottom of the pecking order (surprisingly - considering the other 2 are silkie cross bantams!), but she still gets food and drink from when I've watched. She is very shy but will eat out of my hand if I look the other way I think I've read that a lot of bluebelles are quite timid anyway so I think that is fairly normal. Maybe she is just settling in
