Mrs Frugal
You rotter ! As if I'd imply that you blokes need a child's cookery book !
Cookie
I've been longing to get this book for weeks, and then reading all these posts has made the longing even worse! But happily, I popped into Waterstones at lunchtime and they now have it on special offer at £7.99...and I thought at that price, well it would be rude not to frankly So if anyone else is debating whether to get it, then find yourselves a Waterstones and buy a copy nice and cheap. Its a beautiful, huge book and it seems like a bargain at £7.99. For once am looking forward to the tube journey home this evening, so I can settle down and have a proper read of it. Love, Cookie. xx
The Dogmother
I got it for my birthday (after much hinting) and plan to work my way through the recipes. It has an intro at the start of each section giving information about that type of food - great for helping children to understand about nutrition. Poached Egg Paul
Ooh thanks for that advice. I will definately be getting it then. Seven pounds is not much either! Although it does mean leaving the house and going to shops! (I'm a bit lazy) After Christmas there always seems to be diet cookbooks and healthy eating books everywhere! I really like the Fat Ladies style of cooking where everything is just chucked in! I'll give the river cottage one a try and let you know how it goes! Guest
Paul - you could order it from Amazon and at the same time get the Jamie O Italy book for £7.99, then select free delivery. That way you won't have to leave the house.

Poached Egg Paul
Ooh good idea-that does mean I will be spending more money! Don't tempt me. Every time I go on Amazon i just keep adding to the basket then get a shock when I check out!
Mrs Frugal
Glad I'm not the only one who keeps on filling the basket ! It's all a bit too tempting when you see the bit that says "customers who bought this also bought these" and I just have to as well!! Guest
You know they have the 'page you made' bit. Well they keep suggesting nude books for me and I have no idea why. I haven't bought anything particularly racey....
Poached Egg Paul
That's so funny! I wonder where they get the recommendations from? I keep getting books on goat breeding recommended. I've never bought anything related to goats before! What would you buy to have nude books recommended though!
Guest
No idea! I bought a Tai Chi book last year - wondering if they got category confused - maybe they lumped it in with Kama Sutra style books. Goat breeding! Did you buy any chicken books - it might be associated with that.... ?

Amazon is great - I love it I got this big sandwich toaster thing on there for £10 cheaper than in John Lewis and free delivery. I wonder what they will recommend for me now.....
