Leicester_H
Hi My 2 will generally 'walk to heel' if I blow my whistle and hold their red treat bowl but I was thinking it would be really nice to be albe to take them for proper little walks !! However, this would require a leed or harness of some sort. I supose this is completely out of teh question ?? Edit - google revealed this http://www.americansilkiebantamclub.org/harness_leash.htm H
Egluntyne
I think you would have every stray dog in the locality following you.

Egluntyne
Eh? Do you mean that the "proper little walks" would be confined to your garden. I had visions of you taking them out onto the pavement and attracting the dogs. I must confess that I can't see the point......but if it takes your fancy....... Guest
I had a rat years ago and wanted to be able to take him for walks round the garden (without him escaping) and we bought a small harness and leash and he hated it, he wriggled out of it like a contortionist every time we put it on him. I'd be a bit wary of taking a chicken for a walk in case you came across the path of a big dog that fancied chicken for dinner!
superjules
When I was 9 or 10 I used to take my pet ferret "Bugsy" for walks with a harness and lead. I used to get a lot of strange looks as we lived in north london! Bugsy could hold his own against any animal, however big, but I'm not so sure about a chicken!! Blonde Chicken
The harness is so funny - none of my girls would sit still enough to let me put it on though K
