ali-s
I am really fed up with AOL Takes ages to get connected and disconects itself willy nilly. Usually I am on the wireless laptop but I get the same agro on the "big" PC. Never receive the Omlet newsletters which is another AOL problem I think So what internet provider does everyone else use and can they reccomend them Thanks

Cinnamon
Hi Ali, You are right - AOL are terrible! I know loads of people who have been with them & have changed.Apparantly it is a nightmare getting the software off of your computer too I am with BT internet, & they have been great although I would prefer a call centre in the UK rather than Bangladesh or wherever ps - I don't get Omlet newsletters often either, but they are always in my Spam file
Popcorn
We were with BT Internet, and never had any problems. I swopped over to Tiscali 12 motnhs ago as they had 2G broadband for £14.99 a month, and they have been good too. No probs with either. Wouldn't touch NTL if I were you - totally useless
Cinnamon
Wouldn't touch NTL if I were you - totally useless Yep, I can ditto that one. My sister has had no end of problems with her NTL connections & the customer service has been astoundingly bad Wish I could recommend a Broadband server....but as I am 3 metres too far from the exchange for broadband,I can't BT have been good to me so far, & I will probably stick with them even if we do ever manage to get Broadband. Guest
I'm on BT Broadband and it's fine most of the time. However, when there is a problem it is so cr*p it's unreal. Indian call centre, scripted questions, no help whatsoever. I would love to switch to someone else, but currently can't bothered with the hassle of changing broadband provider. PurpleHen
I would recommend F9 / Plusnet, they are the same really and I have only ever heard good things about them. They don't advertise but come up really well on internet research for providers. I also use Firefox which is great Edit - PS, forgot to add, I also have only ever heard BAD things re AOL
ali-s
Well after being disconected 6 times since I logged on just after 9pm I have found a link, which might not be AOLs fault We have Nimrods flying over the house 24/7 which interferes which the Sky TV. Tonight as one flew over, the Sky and internet disconnected at the same time The radio is the same. One minute I am listening to a tune next there is a high pitched noise followed by "roger Foxtrot leader" or words to that effect. I will still look into changing provider as AOL is not very good anyway. Thanks for all the replies
