Is it just my OH who is a misery guts????

Recommended Posts

getting into such a state must be draining for him and upsetting him.

I got myself into a proper tizzy recently over being ill and having to have hospital tests. I am very highly strung and possibly a little obssesive, although not to the extent of cleaning the loo seat every time, I do like the house to be clean. I was more obsessed about this when I was ill as I didn't want the doctor to come out to a dirty house!

Anyway, I was prescribed some diazepam to calm me down and it does work. I've stopped taking it now all my tests are outof the way but I have it on hand should I have another freaky episode.

Would he maybe have a chat with his GP to see if diazepam might help him at all?

he definitely needs to do something or he's going to work himself up into a state where he might make himself ill.

Jay, I am so pleased you posted. I was really concerned that you'd had a little moan and - whoosh - the whole country was telling you how to manage your marriage! Things can escalate so quickly here and I was worried you might wish you'd never said anything.

Have a good day :):)

:lol::lol:

I do understand that people worry and offer support and advice. :D

I think that I may have worded it wrong to give an impression that I was crying out for help and was suffering terribly. :?

God knows he's a moaner and he does makes some days tricky but certainly not my whole life-or the lives of my children. I am not the type to be a 'victim', I am quite level headed and know how much is too much.

I do not deny that he has problems most of which I believe stem from his childhood but I am not terrified of him in any way, shape or form. :D

I do think that he could be a complete bully if allowed but trust me-he could not bully me!

I do love him (Sounds like a Jeremey Kyle line there  ) and I am here to help him learn the joy of life and love, how to chill out, how to enjoy being a Dad etc and YES sometimes I feel like attacking him with a blunt object  but it is not all bad.

He will never change-I know that and I know that you cannot change people but I hope to help him mellow into something a little less loud and excitable!!

He's lucky to have you Jay. (I hope he knows that at least!) He needs love, care and understanding. I wish you both well! :D

You didn't opt for an easy life, did you . . .??

I would just like to say a HUGE thanks to everyone who read and replied to this post and I hope that you can all forgive my moan!!

I try not to moan to often but every now and then something happens and you just fancy a good old rant to get it all out of your system.

I really appreciate you all being there for me with either my chickens or my fella. I vow to shut up whining from now on. (Well at least till after christmas anyway!! )

Have a nice evening all :D
