Guest
Well, I'm about 25 miles from Brighton so it doesn't affect me!

Egluntyne
I think it is a joke Egluntine Someone who knows you has done it and now keeps it going because they know how maddening it is Do you have a renowned practical joker in the family What about the handwriting Sorry....didn't see this earlier. No...I don't recognise the handwriting. I wonder if someone we know with contacts in winchester are getting them to send it on their behalf! Nah...to far fetched.....and would you keep it going for over 20 years? I hope they invite us to something and then we will know who they are. What worries me is this ....if you had diligently sent some-one a card every year for years and years and had NEVER received one back....would you continue to send them? Unless you are the sort who just ploughs through your address book regardless and send cards to folk who have been dead for 4 years.
Sheilaz
I thought it was 60 miles. That's what I thought before, but didn't like to correct Michael Caine. Perhaps he could come to an Omlet meet next year & sort this out?
pianissimo
According to the BBC, it's 70 miles. See http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/derbyshire/3090539.stm

Rona
Back to the Mystery Christmas Card - could they have sold you an insurance policy or pension plan?
Egluntyne
Back to the Mystery Christmas Card - could they have sold you an insurance policy or pension plan? Didn't think of that. There is no logo or similar on the card though. Any Omleteers related to a Douggie and Janice in Winchester?
The Dogmother
You ought to post something in a Winchester local paper.
Egluntyne
That is an idea. On the other hand we have always viewed them as slightly dodgy stalkers and don't want to stir up something that we can't control. I had a nutter pester me via friends reunited and that was bad enough.
Snowy
Hm, it's one thing to want to know who they are, but another entirely for them to know you want to make contact (or not ).
