Night out

Recommended Posts

Went to the theatre in the West End to see Herges Adventures of Tintin last night. Fab, if it tours go and see it, and take your kids, as long as they are over 6 years old (a couple of little kids had to be taken out during the show because they found it too scary  Aaaaw. I always regard the theatre as an excuse to dress up a bit, get out of the poo covered jeans  but it was sooooo cold last night and we were getting a taxi there and the bus back, the thought of standing waiting for a bus freezing my bum off did not appeal so just dressed normally, clean jeans sans poo :) The girl sitting next to me had no such cold weather worries  She was wearing the tiniest skirt right up to her knickers, high heeled shoes and a net top with short sleeves  She looked gorgeous, but really!! Obviously another one who would refuse to wear her coat and boots to school when she was younger :(

In the interval I saw her and the boyfriend go outside for a fag, no coat! I had to resist the urge to come over all motherly and say to her 'come inside at once young lady you'll catch your death" :)

Great night, but the cost of the drinks in the theatre bar! £8.50 for a white wine spritzer and a small brandy  rip off

I can remember years ago everyone made an effort to dress for the theatre...myself included but over the last few visits I have noticed that most people go casual.

It also so very hot sometimes when it is full so layers are much better for me. This year I too just went as you did in clean jeans and a t shirt top with a cardigan so I good peel off if I came over all queer as I do sometimes [funny age]. Of course I still had to sit with my outdoor jacket warm scarves hat and hand bag on my knee!

Brrr that young lady must have been frozen!

Clean jeans is indeed dressing up

I put a pair on the other day to go out in & had to pop & see the hens before I left,so turned up the hems to stop the dragging in any poo.

I forgot to turn them down gain until I was in the pub,& a big blob of thankfully dryinsh poo fell out which had been kicked into the turn up :lol:

Glad you had a good time - it sounds fab :P
