emu
After a rather shaky start and with the helping hand of Kate(star), I would like to introduce our lovely chooks: Tilda,Basmati(Matti) and Bunty. They have been absolutely delightful today. For Breakfast they had porridge with pinch garlic and poultry spice and some pellets, topped with some cornflakes, mixed seeds and raisons. Then we served long spaghetti today for lunch with spinach with several helpings of mixed corn after. happy chooks. They don't like Corn on the Cob!!! And I tried to give them a bit of Tilda Basmati Rice but they weren't having any of that either.Gave them some spinach yum yum chomped that but they certainly have a healthy diet and are extremely picky with their food and fastidious in their appearance- constantly preening themselves. Then they had a good free ranging session and I managed to take a few snaps of them in the brighter spells we enjoyed this afternoon. Maybe they can photoshoot for Poultry vogue magazine! Mrs Frugal
You'll probably find that they learn to love different treats as they get used to them. Mine took nearly 2 years to appreciate greens but they strip a cabbage down to the bones in an afternoon now . Your chooks are lovely - congratulations .
