Extras....Are you watching?

Recommended Posts

This was the only thing I had marked up to watch over the festive season  The trouble is I really dislike Ricky Gervais, but I like what he does  I liked the programme a lot, very bum clenchingly embarrasing, which is always a good thing on the telly these days. Although I felt slightly manipulated with the everso maudlin ending, I enjoyed it and would give it 8 out of 10 :)

Nope, even though it had DT in it.... my sleep is up the creek. I go to bed really early, & then wake up in the night at silly o'clock unable to sleep.

I'm going to try & have an afternoon nap today to see if I can get my sleep pattern back in order.

I'm never awake to see in the New Year, just can't keep awake!

I have some sleep problems. My advice would be to stay awake in the day and only sleep at night and keep to a routine (winding down?). I keep falling alseep on the sofa mid evening which I'm trying to stop so I sleep better later on.

Extras was a little sad in parts, but quite good and I'm glad he came to his senses in the end. I did like the irony in the Big Brother bit i.e. "we're not here to humilate ourselves," promptly followed by the "celebrities" dancing to the birdie song and passing a glittery exercise ball between their legs

Gervais accused them all of leaving their dignity at the door and it was June Sarpong who said "I didn't leave my dignity at the door" followed promptly by the birdie song. It was a large glittery egg they were passing btwn their knees- very funny as I think the other celebrities were well chosen, and all good sports to take part I think! :D

It was the bits were Ashley Jensen was cleaning the loos (with that music in the background that they use on the child abuse ads) and then her coming back to that horrible flat that upset me, because that's the reality for so many people. (Anyone seen 'Dirty Pretty Things'?) Makes you very grateful for what you've got.

It was a very well written episode I think, just made me a bit sad
