chickenlover Posted December 29, 2007 Share Posted December 29, 2007 ive just been reading up on chicken disease, and i read somewhere that you should get your chickens vaccinated for mareks disease at 1 day old, i got my chickens from the school when they were a week old and i dont think they have had this vaccination, should i be worried? Ain't Nobody Here Posted December 29, 2007 Share Posted December 29, 2007 I think it's only recommended to vaccinate if you have a large flock so unless you've got loads of hens you should be OK. Lesley Posted December 30, 2007 Share Posted December 30, 2007 We haven't had any of our own hatchlings vaccinated. We lost one to what appeared to be Mareks, she was just coming to POL.
