Guest
i've done the e-mail thing, is that what you mean? Maybe it will do some good, who knows. The main factor will be who keeps buying the standard chicken, if it's not selling, they won't stock it.
Joojoo
Yeah it was the email. Has someone already posted about this (and I've missed it) or did you find it earlier?

Cate in NZ
Excellent, I'll be doing that for sure. I never shop at Tescos or Somerfield, so the email link's no good for me, but we have a big Asda nearby that I have been known to visit, albeit infrequently. I shan't be visiting them again..............and as soon as I can log on to the other computer (which has a printer attatched) I'll be bashing the out a letter . Egluntyne
I wonder how things stand re animal welfare and supermarket giants in NZ KateA?
Cate in NZ
I wonder how things stand re animal welfare and supermarket giants in NZ KateA? I read a posing on the Jamie forum from a Kiwi expressing disgust about a battery/ broiler farm near her, so I know that they have some similar problems. Supermarkets don't seem to be as big and powerful over there, but I don't really know. But I have seen people posting on the NZ migrant forums complaining that the supermarkets over there just don't compare to Tesco's

Hi Kate If you look at ASDAs contact details on the site, you can copy and past it then email it to the customer services. It's just Morrisons that you have to write to

Kathy C
Thankyou for posting this. I was so incensed by the programmes I have seen this week and the treatment of chickens for meat I felt I had to get in touch with the supermarkets I use. I now have thanks to you. On Thurday I approached the customer services in Asda, much to my husband's shock, and asked them, politely to stock more free range. The assistant's polite response showed me I was not the only one. We were also not the only ones hanging around the meat shelves analysing all the packaging.
