Advice Please

I like the sound of your daughter, she's got a good approach! I am convinced that once he's seen chickens in someone else's garden (and hopefully they will give you some eggs to try as well  ) your OH will be won over.

They are so easy to look after, and so much fun. Let us know how your visit goes!

Thanks for all the encouragement -

I think Little Miss Webmuppet is working hard at buttering her Dad up....I think she's nearly memorised the whole book now! As for the OH I think he's slowly resigning himself to the fact he is not going to win.

Heaven help the chap from work we are going to visit I don't think he quite knows what he's letting himself in for!...must remember to save the brocolli stalk from dinner next Sunday.

Just to give you another update - the OH is slowly coming round to the idea. In fact yesterday afternoon he sent us off to the Hen House at Thorndon to look at Hen Houses & chickens. Little Miss Webmuppet fell in love with several bantams including the most beautiful (and friendly)Lavender Pekin Bantam.

He spent a while yesterday evening looking at hen coops on ebay........

The Wendy House was cleared out today and it has rotted away in the back corner........looks like we will have to have a nice new hen house!

We are off to meet a colleague and his chickens in the morning. Wish us luck......I think Little Miss Webmuppet will get her chickens!

Great news :P:clap:

My ypungest daughter has her own flock of Bantams & is great at looking after them. they are such a nice little pet for an animal loving child 8)

She got her flock for doing so well in her SATS, & last year, much to my despair, managed to talk us into rescuing a golden Poland Cockerel too

Eggcellent news! :) I think most of us who read your original post on here, had a feeling that Mr Webmuppet would soon be giving in. Chickens are brilliant fun, and you (and he!) won't regret the decision.

Your daughter is going to love having them, and she'll learn such a lot as well. Keep us posted!
