Tiggy
happy St DAvids day i'm looking forward to March 15th some friends are having an early St Patricks Day do at their pub in Ludlow, nearer to my roots
Joojoo
Ooh what's the pub called Anne? I visit Ludlow every couple of months for a night out with friends. I can highly recommend Queen's Cafe Bar for an absolutely wonderful meal. It's only got 6 tables so you need to book but well worth it if your friends want a break from their pub while you are there The Baileys Icecream Cheesecake is to die for
Tiggy
its the Bull Ring Tavern, they hve only had it a couple of years, it was a real dump with lots of trouble makers, their son & his girlfriend & their children live there, they have all worked very hard but the pub business is not easy at the moment. so we all try to support them when we can
Joojoo
That's really thoughtful of you. I should imagine it is difficult to turn around somewhere like that when it's been let go as it will be associated with the wrong sort for quite a while and people need convincing that it's changed. I shall look out for it and pop in next time I'm over that way Are you from Shropshire originally?

Joojoo
My family are all from just outside Portsmouth but moved up to Shrewsbury before i was born. Ludlow is certainly a beautiful town. Then again so is Shrewsbury but on a larger scale, and I know I'm very lucky to live in such a picturesque county.
