Cate in NZ
Immi's school have decided to fund raise for Sport Relief by giving each form group a letter of the alphabet and the girls are required to dress up as something beginning with that letter . This is a secondary school and Immi herself is 14, and not any longer at the age where she'll wear any old thing that Mum has managed to throw together, she's still got to look cool and fashion conscious So, her form has got "A". She doesn't want to be an angel because all of her friends are planning that and she wants to be different. I suggested wearing all green and sticking a leaf out of her collar and going as an apple, but that caused great . I thought of a floppy hat and a smock and going as an artist.............but smocks are so last season , and please don't suggest an aardvark anyone.........I wouldn't know where to start with the costume and she's dressing up on Thursday. Any ideas anyone?
Karen & co.
Adam Ant, but I guess she won't know who he is Arya from the Eragon film, my daughter went as her last week to world book day, a warrier elf princess with a taste in swords and short skirts Aunt Sally from Worzel Gummidge Will keep thinking, or perhaps you'd rather I didn't Karen x
Cate in NZ
Aunt Sally's an idea , although I'm not sure if she'd know who Aunt Sally is , I'll run that by her. I've not seen "Eragorn" so have no idea who Arya is, but a warrior princess could be right up her street . Thanks for that Karen I also forgot to say that, unsuprisingly they need to be able to run in whatever they wear, they're all supposed to be completing the obligatory mile. Each year group has a specially allocated time to go and run however many times around the school to reach the mile. And they have to reach it within a certain time limit so they don't have any excuses to miss lessons, so no alligators shuffling around the school in outfits they can barely move in. I do so wish that she was in the form group that got "Q"..........surely there's no choice for them, they'll have crowns on their heads
Karen & co.
I guess Aardvark is out of the question too then Arya has flat leather boots, just perfect for doing the mile in She is suposed to wear a bustier type top, but I drew the line at that, and Sarah wore a brown tee shirt of her older brothers, and thonging criss crossing her body to make it look more fitted I just googled Arya and got some images and took it from there. Ziggy
Arwen from Lord of the Rings? Or Aragorn if she doesn't want to go the girly way? Or if she doesn't want to go as an angel, she could go as an Alien?? Those are the two perfumes I have, and I wear one of the other depending on my mood, that's what brought alien to mind... though maybe alien is not cool...
