CannyCat
I planted it in Sep/Oct I think. It's now big and leafy, but no sign of any cauliflower heads. When are they supposed to be ready? Is there still hope?!
Christian
From what I have read they should be ready for harvest from mid summer to mid autumn, judging by 2 books I have. Sorry, have never grown caulis so can't offer much advice
Tara.F
Some caulis can be sown all year round and so it follows that they will come ready at different times too Have faith, it's just building up it's strength for it's big finish
CannyCat
Wow x_x You know, I'm not even that fond of cauliflower, I just sowed them so the bed wouldn't be bare all winter I didnt realise they'd take so long!
chickencam
If they are looking big and leafy then you are doing well because they are greedy feeders. Giving them a boost liquid feed might help the heads some along something with a high potash rating to encourage fruit and flowers. You may find that you will get a crop in the next month or so it is hard to predict and dependent on variety sowing time etc
