redfrock
Got ready to leave for work this morning - really impressed that I was leaving on time, despite the loss of an hour! - only to not be able to find my keys. And then slowly it dawned on me .... I had put them in Andy's glove box on Saturday, and he was already at work . I can't lock the house, the chip in the spare key for my car is broken so I can't turn the immobiliser or alarm off, "Ooops, word censored!"ody at my work lives nearby and the only 2 who might be able to help weren't answering their phones. Turns out one is on a train to London, and the other had already left and obviously couldn't answer! She was mortified when she picked my message up, as she pulled into the work car park. So, I am sat at home, going to be late for an important meeting, and waiting for my fantastic Dad who is going to my husband's work to collect my keys, as I have appointments this afternoon which means I need the car - otherwise I would have used the train, although I would have had to leave the house unlocked I feel sooooooo stupid. I guess the day can only improve

Goosey Lucy
I would have been tempted to call in sick. I managed to lose our house keys while rushing YS to the doctor, OH was in Blackburn. Car keys were locked inside the house, no-one had a spare. Luckily some kind soul found them and left them on a wall. I was panic stricken. Locked out of the house with 2 young boys, one of whom was ill. Now have spares with neighbours. Hope your day improves. Have you had a big cup of hot sweet tea yet? bronze
thats one thing to be said for having doors that you have to lock using the key. at least you can't get locked out. I have left the keys in dhs car before too though and in a similar way I couldnt go anywhere because I could a)get out of the house (how dangerous is that!- I guess in a fire theres windows) b) lock the door behind me even if it had been open. I think we've lal done these things and if you havent your time is duue
Keanie Bean
I hope your day gets better, my husband managed to lock himself out of the house a while ago, he had put two plums in his pocket for his lunch and assumed they were his keys as he left the house. It wouldnt have been so bad, but he had our daughter who was only a small baby at the time who he was meant to be taking to grandmas house. I had to drive all the way home from work to let him in. It took me two hours round trip, to get him his keys!!!!!!! We know who was the plum in this one It can only go up, Sarah.x
