Ain't Nobody Here
Not something I've been losing sleep over but I wondered if all egg yolks are like this . Every egg I crack open seems to have a slightly wrinkly area on the yolk. It's easiest to see when we put them in a ramekin for poaching. It makes you think it's an old egg but they're obviously not . Don't know if the picture really shows it but here goes (it's just below and between the 2 bits of reflection) ......... Egluntyne
I often have these too. They still taste fab. I wonder if it is a sign of freshness, that you wouldn't see in a supermarket egg?
Blackrocksrock
I noticed this too - think it must be because its fresh - no other answer
Snowy
Me too. They are not all like this, but I do notice them sometimes. No idea why and they are just as good as the others - I might have to do some research regarding which ones are wrinkly and which not!
