Mel (& Paul)
He's actually being rather loving at the moment - sitting on my desk so he can look out the window for when Paul comes back from the soggy walk with the soggy doggies, but I am sure I can persuade him to get his gnashers out for Bufster
AnnieP
Ahh! At least he can sit on your desk: Here's one of our babies trying to help daddy on the phone....

buffie
Would you like to borrow Minky. He's a good bottom biter Does he bite other things My mum suggested doing something and offering him toad in the hole for dinner I like that idea. I am stuck here waiting for mikey so i can get the car and we need shopping so the **** has really messed up the day. In the scheme of things though this is minor I know. Also just had a call and Mikey has got a promotion so that's great news so we can open a bottle to celebrate as I never drown sorrows! motherhen
What a rotton day Buffie So pleased you are going to take the matter further - if the guy has done it before as that woman said, then he needs stopping!!!!! Hope you are now sitting down comfortably, all warm and dry with a glass in hand ready to watch BHWT on TV (oh, and those young men who do insist on taking off their tops )
Hellcat
If it was me, I'd buy a set of bolt-cutters and go to work on the gates. I know they would probably do me for criminal damage, but I would be prepared to risk that. I'd be tempted to go to work on the MAN with the bolt cutters! what a pig! AnnieP
oh dear! My poor old dad, who is in his late 70's, and an absolutely wonderful person, calls everyone "love" (its a Londoner thing), and he gets so upset when he offends someone. I have tried and tried to explain why, but 1, he can't stop it, its just a turn of phrase, and 2, more and more people respond aggressively to him when he does it. It really doesn't mean anything. I found him crying the other day when he came home from shopping because some snotty trumped up young woman had scolded him for it, calling him a pervert. If I would have been there, I would have slapped her. He said he would never go out shopping again, just in case he saw her.
Guest
That's horrible - there is a HUGE difference between an old man calling you love, and a younger guy doing it. I used to have an Area Manager, who was over-due retirement, and his memory was a bit dodgy, and he used to call all his managers 'love' or 'hen' (including the men), because he simply couldn't remember our names! Mrs Frugal
Oh bless your Dad, Annie. That's sad. Round here, all the older people call you "duck"! I'd much rather be called "love" anyday.
AnnieP
That's horrible - there is a HUGE difference between an old man calling you love, and a younger guy doing it. This is what I think, but then I guess today's young men are tomorrow's old ones.... I tend to respond with something really cheeky when I get called it by younger men, something along the lines of a wink and an "and you, gorgeous"! You should see their faces! motherhen
Up here it's 'pet', which I've never found offensive, since it always seems to be meant nicely. Hope today is the exact opposite of yesterday for you Buffie
Cinnamon
I hate being called Love by anyone other than someone who loves me There is a girl (mid 20's) on the checkout at Tesco who always says My love & My darling - I think it is just horrible,& very lazy
