Ok guys just to let you know how totally barmy I am , I have had my OH install a cctv camera inside my coop... I am so fascinated by my new girls although we have had them 12 weeks now I love them so much we have put a camera in there and have a mini tv in our lounge where we can watch the girls when they go to bed... we can see them anytime when they are inside...and if they don't settle I can go down the garden and comfort them at beddy bys time, (they like a cuddle at bed time).

Anyhow, I get to see they are all ok and settled so I can close the door to the coop, and also get the fun of watching them wake up in the morning and all the stretching and jumping up and down that goes on before they get let out into the run for the day.....SO WHO THINKS I'M TOTALLY BARMY NOW?!!!!and by the way it's a fab way to keep an eye on injured, bullied or sick girls with a camera and tv...:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

OH muttered something about a chickencam. I excitedly said "Well there's people on the forum....."

He then gave me a look which suggested we're not getting one. :?

I love the idea - but then chooks have already taken over the garden and the computer so maybe the TV is just a step too far for us....for now!

yes but think of all the bother the OH would have when one is sick/ill/ bullied etc, he'll be able to keep an eye on them with out moving a muscle and what a conversation starter when his gadget mate's call round.....lol and he can spend loads of extra time a day gazing lovingly into your eyes cos you dont have to knee deep in mud all day.....

Hi hennymom,

No that's not mad that's a great idea, we've kind of done the same thing and installed a webcam. If you click on the link at the bottom of our signature you can view live footage of our chooks going about their daily pecking and scratching around! At least you know they are ok when you are inside the house eh.:lol:

If I can actually catch them doing anything other than sleeping and pooping yes I will post footage, I'm sure they know the camera is there they seem to sidle along the wall where the camera cant see them and if they forget and jump on the perch where we can see them I swear they are sticking there tongues out as us,..lol sneaky li'l critters...
