Trish
Got to agree with you. It's the little free samples whenever you order that I love, gives you a great oppertunity to try stuff or get travel sizes of things you already use

Mel (& Paul)
Ouch! You poor thing! I've had a lot of problems with the skin on my face and recently with my hands (ended up with the usual old steroid creams that actually made it worse!) - I use Liz Earle but have also taken to making my own face cream and toner recently which I use in the evening - I've also put the cream of my hands and as if by magic, all the redness and itchiness has gone! If you want the recipe, just let me know! Yes Please!! - can you direct me to Liz Earle as well please

Twiglet
I have just started using face & body products from The Organic Pharmacy. They are on-line and also at large branches of Boots. Totally organic and only natural products used, no preservatives, SLS, parabens or petrochemicals etc etc. so absolutely nothing to irritate. Mrs Blue Sky
I can vote for the camomile ointment that is sold for cracked nipples, it's good for lots of things. My sister is using it for psoriasis, and test driving it alongside borage cream. I'll let you know. I get Fucidin from the doctor when my excema goes nuclear but keep it under control mostly with either the Camillosan or the creams you get for cracked heels (compeed etc). Are you better today Mrs M?
motherhen
Hi Mrs Blue Sky Nice to see you around again - love the avatar - is it new or am I just having a senior moment in my visual memory I just love the smell of Camillosan - even if it is many many years since I used it when breastfeeding
Mel (& Paul)
Cracked Nipples ANOTHER reason why I stick to dogs and chooks! I am feeling a little better, but my face arms and chest (not the above mentioned parts) are feeling hot and itchy still. The antihistimine make sure I am dopey for most of the time (nothing new there then....... ) and I hope that the odd glass (bottle?) of wine is not stopping the antibiotics too much. I just hope that I look halfway normal (no chance) for Monday when Clare T comes down - all brown and thin and half Italian. Grrrrrr
KateB
Ok, face cream - dead easy, if I can do it, anyone can. 5 heaped tbsp grated beeswax 5 tbsp coconut oil 5 tbsp almond oil 1/2 tbsp shea butter 10 drops essential oil (I used a mixture of calendula and rose) 5 tbsp rosewater (you could always use plain water) Place the coconut oil, almond oil, shea butter and beeswax in a bowl over a pan of barely simmering water. Stir from time to time until all oils and wax are melted together. Remove from the heat, stir all the time and allow to cool slightly before adding a tbsp of water - whisk the water in and a cream will begin to form. Add more water, a tbsp at a time until the cream is of a consistency you like - more water will result in a thicker cream. Leave to cool - if any water appears on the surface, pour it away. When completely cool, whisk in the essential oils. Place in a sterile jar - will keep for 3 months or so... Best hand cream, cleanser and moisturiser I have ever used... Mel (& Paul)
That sounds lovely Where do you get your ingredients from and what is shea butter - is it anything like Kaz's elf butter which I thought was made by pixies, but turned out to be extra low fat (how very dull)
spott
poo! i am alleric to coconut, given me a multi-coloured rash that itches when i eat eat, probably not goingt to work on the outside... better not risk it.
KateB
www.baldwins.co.uk (sorry, probably a lack of 'link' there - I'm not very IT minded...) sell an awful lot of things, including small pots etc. to put the cream in. I get my beeswax from a local bee keeper but it can be found on ebay along with a lot of other ingredients. Health food shop often stock a lot of the ingredients too such as almond oil and coconut oil...
