Strepsy
Hmm, I have no idea but my cat does that too and he's a boy. If we have a big box I tend to save it for him as he loves to sleep in them but then after a few days he starts biting bits off and they have to go. Hope everything's going/gone well with your new kitties.

Paola
It could be just a part of her nest building.
Aunty e
I've just helped Evie have hers, so now we have two lots. One of them has twisty legs, but hopefully we can sort that out with careful manipulation and kitten physio. Five kittens for Evie, and Cleo still has two. exciting, but terrifying. Poor old Evie was so knackered by the last one, she couldn't even clean it. Luckily, mummy was on hand with a flannel. Wish I'd set up a camera so I could keep an eye on them... Olly
my goodness Aunty E, your house is turning into a kitten nursery! I hope you can find homes for them all. You are a very devoted mummy, I'm not sure I could cope with kitten physio. Do post some photos soon, of both Evie's and Cleo's litters. Aunty e
Will do soon, every time I try to, I get distracted by kitten cuteness (or birthing). Luckily, we have a spare room, which is our kitten nursery, so that mommy cats don't get disturbed by our other cats. Nero in particular wants to play with the kittens - we don't think that's a good idea until they're a little bit older! We've never had any trouble finding homes for them really. We sold our half maus on pets4homes last time, and they both went to lovely homes nearby, so we'll probably do the same thing with them. As far as Evie's go, the little twisted one has a home already with a friend of mine who has a flat with no garden and there is a lovely chap at work who wants one to be a companion to his lovely cat (which we catsit occasionally, so know she's friendly) and so on. These two litters were wholly unintentional as it happens, but who knew that cats could break through brick walls when in season Next time, both girls are in the pen, we want a good long break. No more kittens until next year.
