I haven't had my telegram yet, but funnily enough, I did just get an e-mail from a friend who worked in the offices at Buckingham Palace for a while a couple of years ago. Some coincidences can be quite spooky!

Wow Ginette. Hope she has a fantastic time! What an opportunity. I went to a garden party there way back in 1984 and have never forgotten it so I'm sure it will stay with her forever .

Yes, we are thrilled. She can take her younger sister and her mother too , so it will be an exciting day. The 'concert' is being broadcast live on BBC and we have been told it may start a bit late if the preceding sports event overruns! We're all going through security checks at the moment.

Oh she is very lucky............Emily wrote a letter to the queen telling her about her pet chickens and somebody sent her a lovely letter back and told her all about the Queens pet Corgi's and horses............. She didn't say that she had any chickens of her own.
