Guest
I like being tall, "Ooops, word censored!"ody can ignore you when you're 6 foot 1". Particularly useful in shops or pubs I like the colour of my eyes. I like how shiny my hair can look when I bother with conditioner When I look in the mirror I am usually quite happy with what I see but I hate being photographed!!! I wrote a poem about that feeling once, thought I'd share it. Not looking for feedback or comments or trying to show off, just wanted to share it really. I Feel Pretty I like the face that looks back at me we are allies my reflection and me but when I see myself in transparency I guess I see what others see and I don't like the imagery so we made a pact my reflection and me to be content in our own reverie

Ziggy
I use to hate having my picture taken, until I started loving taking pictures!!! I then decided I'd take some good pictures of myself, bought a tripod, and one day when I was all alone at home took pics of myself with DD4 when she was still a baby... the result was so good, people asked me if the pics were taken at Venture, which is the most expensive studio for miles around... Most people can look great on pictures, but stressing in front of a camera is very common... My mum always look at the camera with the expression of a rabbit frozen in the headlights of a car!! So once when I went to visit I sat with my camera, sat her down in front of me and just chatted and joked for ages while taking pictures, until she relaxed, and got some lovely shots of her... Tessa the Duchess
Nice poem, Poet I do envy you being tall. I am a 5.2 1/2" I seem to spend half my life asking taller people to reach things for me in shops and supermarkets, I should really carry a small ladder around with me. I also HATE having my pic taken Tessa
Guest
Thank you I'm glad it struck a chord, poems that don't do that have failed (IMHO). My uncle offered to video my wedding as his gift to us, I nearly choked! I was nervous enough having the photos done, never mind a video!
