Linda
I have to share a wellies poem I learnt when I was working as Learning Support assistant at a primary school. My class of year ones learnt this as part of their assembly on the subject of weather. It has to be recited in the style of a class of 5-year-olds who are doing it for a special occasion..... (Unfortunately there are two lines I can't remember - maybe someone out there knows it) We want to wear our wellies when it's windy We want to wear our wellies when it's wet We went to wear our wellies when the weather on the telly Says it's going to be the warmest day yet! We want to wear our wellies.............(Can't remember!) We want to wear our wellies 'cos they're red We want to wear our wellies even though our feet get smelly But we never wear our wellies in bed!! Sheilaz
What brilliant a poem & song. I was thinking about one of my favourite books for young children, written in rhyme, by Quentin Blake, I think. He certainly illustrated it; "Mr. Magnolia." Mr Magnolia has only one boot............. ...............oops, can't remember the rest, but it's probably in the library. Although, he might not want a reminder that he has only one boot but it is a lovely book.

Popcorn
Isn't it bizarre what you see on the road side. I always find it amusing when you see lone shoes on motorway hard shoulders
Mel (& Paul)
I always think its a bit sad. That lone shoe is probably looking for its sole-mate
Sheilaz
Isn't she quick, first thing in the morning too. It did look sad, it was probably down at heel. I was lucky when I lost a glove, I went to the 2nd hand shop.
