Well, all safe and well this morning.

 

Another question for you experienced keepers! My chickens are on a patch of the garden which has fairly long grass in places. Is this likely to be a problem - have read somewhere that might block the crop? Should I mow it and then put them back?

 

Any advice or experience stories appreciated!

If you do decide to mow,then make sure all the long bits are picked up, as its those that can impact a crop.

 

I think that they will just 'nibble' the long bits down rather than picking long strands to eat,so it should be OK.

I am sure someone with more Freerange experince will be along soon though.....
