We had a casualty yesterday evening - a poor little collared dove flew into our window. We didn't have the heart to put her out of her misery and I'm so pleased we didn't as she is loads better today. I've put it in my blog, with pictures, if you want to read the saga:

We had a bird strike at the guest bedroom window once, we didnt hear it but it left its mark as you could see where its wings body and head hit the glass!

She's still with us this morning!

She was still sat in the tree at 7.30am. Looks like she has been trying to preen her bashed up chest feathers. She's now pootling about the garden again and has been drinking from the bowl I put out for her

Once they get over the shock, if they have somewhere safe to recover , they're normally alright after a few days
