[Ain't Nobody Here]

Cycled to see my friend for coffee this morning and thought I'd take her some nice fresh eggs (she's having a really rotten time at the moment ).

 

After three miles on the beautifully maintained highways of Edinburgh, I arrived at Starbucks, opened my bike bag and found this:

 

 

Bless her, she still said they looked lovely but I've promised her a new box next time I take the car .

 

Waste not, want not, it's scrambled eggs for lunch for me .

Aw, what a shame. All good intentions. Maybe next time you will have to walk or - a bit of a long shot - ask your local council to resurface the roads.

when we go to scotland every year we always remark how good the roads are up there!

scrambled eggs always nice though

rotten luck . .but no rotten eggs . mmmm you were meant to have scrambled eggs today, you must need the protein. .( all that feather ruffling i assume on those bumpy roads) whereas your friend the gesture in itself would've filled her heart with warmth . .and seeing you . .well . .i'm sure you cheered her up just by the expression on yer face when you saw the eggs

 

Hmmm when i was washing my eggs this morning, the one i very first assumed many egg laying moons ago, was a delightful speckled egg - turned out to be the speckled in blood egg .. .anyway . .as i was washing them .. .the cream one broke ( mustve been slightly softer than usual) & went down the plug hole . .. yuk . i then thought i'd rinse it with very hot water to prevent any smells . .hmmm DUH hot water cooks eggs .. plus the plug is a one that cant be removed easily ( unless breaking it) so i have a 5 eggs instead of 6 and a lightly cooked effort slightly blocking the downstairs wee wc hand sink !!!

Ah well, i'm sure it'll dissolve eventually . .mmm least you had lovely scrambled eggs . . actually my scrambled eggs are never now as nice as the ones i used to make .has anyone else noticed a difference in scrambling?

Re the speckled egg...I read somewhere that the speckles do wash off so perhaps it wasn't blood after all (or perhaps it always is but they aren't telling us!).
