Louisdog
I just got one, was hoping to get some tips from people if anyone happened to have any. Yes they guard sheep, poultry etc against foxes and dogs, in the states they use them a lot to guard sheep against coyotes.

daj198
Can you keep llamas on their own then? How big is your garden? I quite fancy a llama!
Tessa the Duchess
I have a wonderful book called 'Along Came a Llama' by Ruth Janette Ruck who was a sheep farmer and lived in Snowdonia. She decided to raise a baby llama. There is a great pic of her sitting reading the paper in front of her fire with the llama sitting on the hearthrug I would love a llama, but I can't see it going down very well in a London back garden Tessa
Louisdog
I am lucky, I have a paddock where I can keep him. They cannot be kept on their own but will adopt a flock of sheep as their own, so he is going to live with my shetland sheep. Cheers Alex

Scramble
Oh! I've always wanted a llama congratultations! Though my garden's only just big enough for the eglu (when it arrives) and I've had to persuade my dad for a while just for chickens.
