I'm a bit sad :(

Recommended Posts

Sorry but I had to let it out.. I have had my pond for about a year and a half and have had my fish from tiny little things. Well my favourite Marmalade an orange and white goldfish developed a condition recently called Dropsy and deteriorated so badly that hubby had to put her to goldfish heaven this afternoon.

I am so sorry I know she's 'only' a goldfish but I was very attached to her and she would cautiously take food out of my hand before she became unwell.

I am devasted, the pond wont look the same without her! Some of you might think me silly, but I know others will understand.

I loved that fish :( Sorry, but I just had to get it out.

you are certainly not silly! very coincidental but our fish in our pond have been dying  we had one last weekend and one today  .

I admit I did shed a tear last week when my favourite pond fish "old yella" (he was bright yellow - not a conventional pond fish colour) went to the big pond in the sky.

My fish are old though (9 years)..im not sure how long they live for.

I know how you feel, sorry.

Awww I am so sorry, it doesn't matter what size or shape the animal losing a pet is so difficult, it gets its own character and personality and it embeds itself in your heart and its so hard to let it go.

Im getting sad myself now don't feel bad about it xxxxx

I'm so sorry - my YS always gets upset when his tropical fish die. He had two new angel fish and they both died. Then Phil his original angel fish he got for his 6th birthday died. He'd had him for 4 years. He always says a few words and we buried him in the garden. He says "I'll see you in heaven" so sweet. We're down to about 5 tropical fish now.

OH & I had a tropical fish tank at the last house and i got very attached to the fish in it and cried if one of them passed on.

We had a lovely acer tree in the front garden and used to bury them there. The acer tree became know as 'the tree of life' which was a little mad as we buried all the dead fish under it :lol:

Im really sorry to read about your little goldfish, you obviously loved him very much. :(
